The site is named after our home which means ‘Cheerful House’. We moved here in 2002 and like it so much that we thought that we should share some of our experiences with you.

My wife, Christina, and I live here with our three sons, Robert, Mark and Adam, our dog, Jess, our two cats, Mole and Polly and a catfish, Katy. Our daughter, Catherine left home at 18 to go to university, met her husband, Kevin and has had her own daughter, Megan.

We hope that this site will give you an insight into us, our interests and our oddities.
